Wicca, Witchcraft, Wile (Article)

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

Like it or not; believe it or not, all humans exist on the same battlefield. That basically leaves us in three potential positions:

  • Fighting for the wrong side,

  • A state of uncertainty or unawareness, or,

  • Fighting for God’s system and God’s family.

It may sound harsh and even maybe a bit insulting to some, but I say it out of love and nothing else. I don’t like to see my brothers and sisters getting misled or used. So when I see a movement, like one that promotes the personal manipulation of ambient energy and human resources; out of that love, I can’t sit quietly.

What exactly am I talking about?

I’m talking about any pyramid scheme; but more specifically in this article, I’m on about those who deal with spirituality. It’s a typical scenario. The leader makes himself/herself look like an idol (as opposed to a role model). That leader knows what people are missing in their lives and knows how to use it. Then, they simply sell the promise of filling in what's needed.

Once hooked, the people in the lower parts of the pyramid scheme do the most unwanted work and the one at the top reaps the biggest benefits. As time goes on, moving higher in the ranks looks better and better to those toward the bottom. Often without knowing it, those in the lower tiers will use those below them if it means climbing higher. The dangling carrots always exist. The promises are almost never fulfilled. If you have a problem with it; you leave (or try) and the next person takes your place, looking to fill the same kinds of voids in their life.

The system never runs dry because the world is full of people who need what that world doesn't provide anymore. It might sound familiar if you’ve ever seen a high school clique, joined certain types of watchdog groups or had a job just about anywhere.

It’s a trap

Take Wicca for example; I’ve done a lot of research and have even spoken to a practicing Wiccan before writing this article. While many who practice say it’s harmless to the world and beneficial to the user; there are many who’ve abruptly stopped practicing after finding the truth, often having some terrifying experiences.

There are some common threads between those people who’ve shared their stories about why they quit. Some are:

  • At first; for all of them the experience seemed positive,

  • There was symbolism that was much, but not exactly like satanic symbolism,

  • After some time they all started noticing questionable results that didn’t match the promises they were given,

  • At some point, once they were drawn far in, they began having demonic experiences. Instead of helping the situation with their protection spells, the spells made things worse. In other words; they were told the spells were good for them, but they were only helping the darker side all along.

  • Often times when trying to leave their religion; the “gods”, deities and other spirits they felt were there to help them would turn and attack them. They had the feeling as if someone was trying to own them and was becoming angry when they wanted their freedom.

The first step above; the appearance of positivity is a typical hook for many like-minded schemes. Like drug dealers, crooked car sellers and loan sharks; everything they offer brings a quick way to feel better in a broken world, but eventually leads to serious consequences.

Who runs these organizations?

The doors are open everywhere; cults, some watchdog groups, cliques, certain religious movements, etc. Their tag-lines help wave in the curious, the hurt and the lost with sayings like “We’re just using our God-given powers”, “It's positive magic” and, “we're cleaning up our world”.

Sugar coating is one of the greatest tools in the Devil’s box. And no matter what the given reason; no matter what the promised outcome is, the result does not match that promise. It earns those who run the pyramid scheme some serious benefits, but in the end it leaves everyone involved with unstoppable consequences.

The only good spirits around that are actually working for everyone's benefit; they're beings like Angels and they work directly for God. If you want their help you only need to go to their boss. Anyone else is not someone you want to mess with; and the price tag for such interaction is always hidden until after you're locked into agreement with them.

Why Wicca, Witchcraft, Cultism and the like are not needed

Here’s one of the cool things about the Holy Trinity; every spiritual need we have is provided for. The situation with witchcraft, wicca, cults and other groups that harass and attempt control is much like that of our personal health and nutrition. I’m not saying there is no place for medication, but more than most people usually know, many of the mental and physical illnesses humans experience are covered. Aside from the human body and mind having an amazing self-healing ability (via using our status as part of the body of Christ); nature often also holds many of its own remedies to the things that damage us.

Spiritual health is the same way. As humans, we are not designed to be self sufficient. People talk like we can, but the reality is that we can’t survive without the environment around us. Our personal balance and survival are part of an entire universal system. God has already worked out what we need and how the rest of the universe plugs into those needs.

Every time we buy a car we don’t need to build our own gas stations or install our own brakes and windows. In the same way; we don’t need to manipulate energies, cast spells and call on individual spirits. To lift ourselves up, make our lives more full, find peace or have a spiritual future we only need to look up. In the car, all we need to do is find the gas station. When we need spiritual help and guidance; we only need to pray, lean on the Holy Trinity, let God decide, then let the guidance and help flow in.

The bird’s eye view

There’s another reason we’re not supposed to be working with things like witchcraft, Wicca, vengeance, etc; we don’t have the bird’s eye view of the battle field. We don’t know what resources are available and how they should be used.

Think about human armed forces; Armies, Navies, Air Forces, etc. In every one of them, the soldiers are hugely important, but they don’t actually run the war. The highest commands and the most influential course changes come from the highest ranks over head. That’s simply because of two things:

  1. The soldiers don’t have access to the amount of information that the higher-ups have. They don’t see the big picture the way the highest ranks do.

  2. The soldiers don’t know how many resources are available overall and where the best places are to put them.

It’s the same way when we fight to rescue our brothers and sisters. We deliver soul saving information, pray, give moral and physical support, act as role models (not idols); but again, we’re expressly forbidden from using things like spells, ambient energies and surrounding souls.

"And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger."
2 Kings 21:6 KJV

Everything in existence has a purpose. As I’ve said in my short video: God’s Webs; everything we possess, everything that we make; all of it is based on elements that belong to God. Those of us who don’t steal; we have what we have by His planning, intelligence, grace and mercy. And it all comes to us based on how and where God sees the need for it. So while there is energy around and it is possible to take and use it, it’s not meant to be manipulated by us.

None of the above is a bad thing

The good news is that leaving the manipulations to God leaves us free to focus on things that won’t bring us unneeded consequences. And it doesn’t leave us empty handed. What we need (not always what we want) is given to us simply through prayer and being responsible with the power and gifts we do have. In other words; if you need it and it’s a legitimate request that's fair to everyone, call on God and Christ for it.

Excuses, excuses

If I’m not a thief, then I don’t take a bunch of cash that’s not mine, just because I’m in a bank. I don’t steal a bunch of clothing just because it’s hanging on the rack near me. Therefore I don’t learn tricks that gain me energy and resources that God doesn’t pass my way.

I can almost hear the counter discussions now. I’m sure there are those who would argue: “God didn’t protect me or mine when bad things happened, so now I will” , or, “I need something right now and He’s not providing.”.

I've even read one Wiccan's quote who said:

"No one has the right to tell me how to have a relationship with God."

But here's the thing; God himself has already told her how to have a relationship with Him (along with the rest of us):

"10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD"
Deuteronomy 18, KJV

But for every hardship I’ve entered, when it’s over I always find that God had a good reason to allow it. Often times, it’s because I was doing something that brought it on and I needed to learn to stop. That kind of self discipline is something God looks for when He decides whether or not we belong in his house.

I benefit much more by learning the preventative maintenance than if I were to just buy or trick my way out of something. It’s like how, if I had a lot of money, I’d have the choice to buy my way into something I don’t belong in. I could also buy my way out of consequences. And while all life forms instinctively look for the easiest paths; those of us who wish to come out ahead welcome the harder, longer ones.

Things like “Borrowing” existing energies are the same way. It may be a benefit at first, but will not come with a full understanding of why it’s there and why God put it there.

So here’s the choice

It comes down to this; things like engaging in Witchcraft, Wicca, stealing merchandise, group stalking and grabbing a stranger’s car while it’s sitting and running on the side of the road; they’re all possible. These days, much of it can be gotten away with. The question is not whether or not you can accomplish it. The question is; do we have the vision, moxy and self discipline to not do it.
